Today, I’ll be doing a makeover on my friend Victoria, whom I’ve known since college. She lives a few hours away, so I decided to visit my mom and set up a little coffee date with Victoria. First let me show you my setup. I usually start by finding a table with good lighting. Natural light is key, as it gives the most realistic representation of the makeup. So I search for a spot near a window. Today, I’m at my mom’s house, but any well-lit area works. Now, let’s talk about the tools I use. I’ve been an artist for over six years and have been using Seint (formerly known as mascara) for over eight years. I’ve accumulated quite a collection of makeup products, but the principles I share in makeovers are the ones I’ve been using from the beginning. I’ll show you my basic setup. It’s nothing fancy. I unpack everything from my artist bag, a secret perk available to artists. I lay out all the essentials, including my custom palette that contains everything I use on my own face. It’s great because clients can see exactly what products I use and how they can achieve the same results. I also have different palette sizes, makeup remover wipes, brush cleanser, and alcohol wipes for sanitizing. I showcase limited edition palettes and other options for clients to choose from. Additionally, I have foundation colors, contours, and bronzers for customization. I recommend working with what you have and adjusting the shades based on the client’s features. I showcase lip and cheek shades, illuminators, and a variety of eyeshadows. Again, clients can choose based on their preferences, and I guide them through the selection process. All my brushes, including the demi brushes, are neatly organized in a dedicated makeup bag along with skincare products and brush cleanser.
